1 cup dried apricots
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter or other shortening
4 eggs
1 cup candied cherries
1/3 orange peel
1/3 cup citron
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 tsp lemon peel
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Cook apricots 5 minutes (cut up and cover with water). Cool. Cream sugar and butter, add beaten eggs. Combine with fruit and nuts. Sift flour and baking powder. Mix with fruit and nuts. Bake in a covered glass baking dish for 1 1/2 hrs in a slow oven.
