1/4 cup orzo
2 cups Riceland rice (do not use converted rice)
4 cups water
1/3 cup butter -or- unsalted butter ghee (Clarified Butter)
3 TBSP Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Let water faucet run on hot, draw hot water
add half of butter to a saucepan along with orzo
when just golden brown, add 4 cups of the hottest water possible.
add the rest of the butter and salt - stir until water boils
Once water boils, add the rice
Let it come back to a boil, then cover saucepan and set to lowest flame possible. (this may be a different/back burner on your oven (don't use the large one)
cook 10-15 min - don't peek often at all. taste test rice until done.

This is a recipe my grandmother made as well as my mom. It is a family recipe, and you will still see it served in parts of eastern Syria and even Turkey. It was passed down through many generations.
